WHAT IS THE SHMA FAMILY LODGE?

The idea of SHMA Family Lodge came to us as a way to bring smiles and joy to our SHMA campers and their families.  This is a unique opportunity for families to spend 4 days and 3 nights (Thursday-Sunday) at your child’s summer home and experience the magic of SHMA Camps.  There will be 3 kosher meals provided each day! (all meals are cholov yisroel and pas yisroel)  So leave the city behind and don’t worry about a thing!

Parents and children will live and play together and enjoy all of the beauty of Camp Sternberg and enjoy some of the fun activities!

WHERE WILL WE STAY?

Each family will either stay in their own bunk house or bungalow.  All bunk houses and bungalows have plenty of space and storage areas for your belongings, private bathrooms, and showers.  Please bring your own bedding, towels, and toiletries.  Before you stay, each bunk house or bungalow will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.

HEALTH, SAFETY, AND MORE!

Creating a safe and responsible environment for family camp will be a group effort.  To that end, we have created protocols for arrival, activities, and meals for our guests.  As we will further develop these guidelines, the following are the basics:

-Prior to arrival, and at the time of check-in, guests will be asked to confirm that in the last 14 days no one in their party has tested positive for COVID-19, exhibited signs of the virus, or been in close contact with anyone suspected to have the virus. All families will go through a health screening and temperature check upon arrival.
-Our staff will clean and sanitize public areas and equipment. We will have hand sanitizing stations at each activity area, in cabins, and upon entering buildings.
-Meals will be provided using several safety measures, including the proper spacing of tables, disposable utensils and plates, and all staff wearing the proper PPE.
-The Health Center will not be open during family camp, however, basic supplies and first-aid kits will be available.

If we all work together, we have the best chance of achieving our common goal of keeping everyone healthy and safe.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST?

The fee to stay at the SHMA Family Lodge will be $3,000 for 4 days/3 nights (price includes up to 8 people).  Children ages  3 and under are free.  This price includes accommodations, meals, and all daytime and evening activities.   Arrival and check-in will begin at 1:00 pm on Thursday and will end on Sunday after lunch.  You are welcome to stay in camp to enjoy the amenities on Sunday, but dinner will not be served. Your SHMA Lodge experience can be paid for by using any tuition credit from the summer of 2020, or by credit card or check.

Our Canteen will be open for some additional variety to our regular included meals.  Canteen no included in pricing.

HOW DO I SIGN UP?

SHMA Family Lodge reservations will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Should you wish to coordinate with other families to attend during the same weekend, please make sure to sign up early as we anticipate that demand may exceed our space. Please make a note on your registration with any special requests.

Due to fixed costs in staffing, facility preparation, food ordering, equipment, and more, all
registrations will come with a $500 non-refundable deposit. Please contact us if you prefer to pay by credit card or check.
